Alert to new messages on unified inbox [desktop]

I'd like to receive notifications/a beep to tell me when I have a new message in my unified inbox.

Right now I have so many auto sent messages that it's easy to miss inbound messages in the inbox. So any solution to that would be great. Ability to disable new message alerts (or hide new messages) if they are actually sent messages and not inbound messagss
