Arrival and Departure time message tags

As it's possible to specify the arrival and departure times on a booking, these times should be available as message tags.

When guests request for late check out or different check in, we change it on the summary page and this does not seem to update on the message. With a lot of properties, it's hard to manage each booking individually. We would like an input/tag that can be booking specific with regards to check in/out times on the automated messages.

I know it's weird but seen this a few times
If you change the checkin our check out time after booking is made it doesn't seem to transpose into tags or anything.
for example I changed check in time to 15:30 and tags it stayed the same as default 16:00 (4pm)
seems to be a bug possibly.
But would be good if you edit the check-in or check out times it is used everywhere else in the application

Vince Breslin: Thanks for this update!!! I would suggest also making sure that the guest booking page is updated with the {arrival_time} tag in the reservation details section at the bottom and not the {check_in_time}.
And where are we with 'I also still believe a --:-- field is necessary in the check-in drop down menu to understand who has already made an appointment and who hasn't'?

Would be good but The only problem I have with this, is I often have guests say they will be arriving at say 12 noon ( Check in is 3pm officially) and I put 12 noon in so I know what time they are in the area, however I do not approve that check in time ( unless I know we can do it) and instead message them that we will try our hardest for an earlier check in time and will message them as soon as the apartment is ready... I suppose I could only put approved variations in rather than the actual time they are arriving hoping to get access!

Agreed. There should be arrival and departure time tags as well and the guest summary page should be updated with the actual arrive time instead of the default check-in time. I also still believe a --:-- field is necessary in the check-in drop down menu to understand who has already made an appointment and who hasn't.

This is not a bug, but I understand what you mean. We have had this request before. Rather than update check-in and out times instead we intend to add two new message tags {arrival_time} and {departure_time}.
These default to the check-in and out times on the listing but can be overridden on each booking.

Vince Breslin: Ok please this is important people getting really confused. But now with remotelock what time are you going to send to remotelock would be great to be able to adjust individual bookings as needed and it send the time to remotelock but also be used in the instructions sent to the guests.
This has caused serious confusion this weekend with guests..

It would also still be helpful to have "----" added to the time drop down menus to select when a check-in time still hasn't been scheduled.

Vince Breslin: How about syncing any changes in {arrival_time} and {departure_time} with RemoteLock's Edgestate? Since {arrival_time} and {departure_time} are meant to be customized times for a specific reservation, changing them should perhaps lead to a lock reservation time change.
