Integrate with Authorize.net - not just Stripe for payment processing

Stripes charges you for refunds and it adds up quick. Stripe also is bad with chargebacks. Authorize.net is much more business friendly from what I hear.

Definitely need alternative payments methods too! Like PayPal maybe? In addition to the fees lost due to refunds, guests who use a card outside the EU (like US or Ukraine) have HUGE fees. With direct payments they transfer the sum for the booking but we loose a big percentage having to cover the bank fees :(

1- Stripe just closed our account after conducting a routine review...

We have not yet received any disputes, and have all 5-star ratings!
2- Next they state "business does not meet our Terms of Service"...
Stripe support even recognizes AirBNB and Booking.com uses them, so there should be no issue, please file appeal.
3- We appealed, giving them every government document they requested and more for verification...

You cannot call Stripe, and they only answer with generic boiler plate replies via e-mail; never thought I would find a company worse than Paypal!
Clearly, Stripe aren't interested in Short-Term Rentals (see restricted business in TOS).
Is Uplisting going to offer other payment processors like OwnerRez??-
We could still have stripe linked just for security deposits and identity verification, and also assign another company for accommodation payments. 🤓👍🙏

Please give us the option take payments manually in the interim and still be listed on VRBO, Booking.com, and Google.

YES! The fact that stripe does not also refund their 3% transaction fee is the source of a lot of conflict. On shorter stays and listings for $150-$200 / night is not such a big deal, as it’s $10-$20, but our Florida snowbird listings where guests book for 60-90 days, that’s 3% can be many hundreds of dollars. And regardless of size, should not be a cost to the owner. When first realized this, this opens up a HUGE cost / waste to owners outside of our control that can scale to many thousands a year. We have no control of guests fickle cancellations. So the way around this, went added clauses on all rental agreements that merchant account fees are never refundable. Have to state it in listing description, property rules, and the rental contract. Guest expectations when they see ‘100% refund by XXX date’ of course this pisses them off to hold 3%. (Especially the book, then cancel within 48 hours). Inevitably, this of course leads to we now get contested credit card fees about 2-3 times a month. This then ties up the funds in question for 90 days, you have to show all the documentation…..and then it is still up to the guests bank, and we still sometimes lose. This is a lot of nonsense, and reasonable guest dissatisfaction. (And makes us look like the bad guy. Have to prove, it’s not us keeping your $) If an order / stay is reversed out and cancelled, EVERYBODY a should refund their fees. That is pretty standard on merchant accounts. Stripe trying to keep their fees is BS. (Just like Airbnb tries to keep their fees). Stripe either needs to refund, or give them competition to add pressure. (Probably good to have a choice anyway). Authorize.net is a good one. I use in business for IT company. Best thing about stripe and current workflow is we as owners are in complete control of security deposit charges. We do t have to lobby to terrible support organizations like Airbnb and VRBO who always side with guest and screw over property owners.
