I just talked to vrbo. They said that they have an API link that will allow you to charge variable fees. So Uplisting can allow users to charge an additional fee both by % (like credit cards) or flat fee (like pet).

We also charge a fee per pet, per night, to a maximum number of pets. Kinda the same function as charging an amount per additonal guest after a set number of guests. This seems like it could be a simple fix, but im no coder. Simply select number of pets like you do guests for price calculation.

The "fee" should have a check box to apply "Rent Tax" or not. Currently Directly Booking "Apply extra charges" always adds "Rent Tax" - for some fees the tax is not applicable

should be able to add fees after a booking is confirmed. as per the original post for card charges, or pet fees, but also things like early check in or parking. Should be possible for all platforms and direct. Can already do in Airbnb, but the others need the facility directly in Uplisting.

Currently, pet fee is only supported for Airbnb bookings and it does not "sync" to VRBO or show up on the direct booking site.

YES PLEASE!!!! We lose money on VRBO because we can not add the 3% Stripe Credit card fee until Uplisting makes this update.
